Cornish Hen in Port Wine and Fig Preserves

From the kitchen of Carly

A whole Cornish hen braised low and slow until the skin turns mahogany and the meat falls from the bone. Port wine and fig preserves create a glossy, slightly sweet sauce that's elegant enough for company but honestly just wants you home on a quiet night.
