Chrysanthemum

From the kitchen of Carly

A silky, herbal cocktail that balances absinthe's licorice edge with Benedictine's honeyed richness and dry vermouth's minerality. Stirred cold and garnished with expressed orange oil, it's sophisticated enough for evening and complex enough to linger over.

  • 12 tablespoons (1 ounce) Benedictine liqueur
  • 11/4 cup (2 ounces) dry vermouth
  • 11 cup ice cubes
  • 11 thin strip orange peel
