Beer Americano

A built Americano gets a frothy upgrade with lager foam. Campari and sweet vermouth chill over ice, then top with whipped beer and a citrus garnish. Bitter, herbal, and surprisingly refreshing, this one walks the line between aperitif and cocktail.

Ingredients

4 servings

  • 11 1/2 ounces Campari
  • 11 1/2 ounces sweet vermouth, preferably Carpano Antica Formula
  • 13 ounces lager
  • 1Orange zest
  • 1for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the Campari, vermouth, and 6 ice cubes in a tall tumbler or Burgundy wineglass. Stir with a bar spoon to chill. Pour the lager into a separate glass and whip the beer into a foam using an Aerolatteor immersion blender. Top the cocktail with beer foam and finish with orange zest.
